Part-time
working as a tutor for primary students has finally ended. On the
whole, our task was to guide them through academic works. I
thought it would be as easy as turning my hand over because primary
kids were easy to handle and I am older than them. Well, I wish I hadn't
said that. Four primary kids have got my head spinning.
They
just wouldn't settle so I made everyone a book and student with 'The
Best Book Cover Design' will get rewarded but to be fair everyone will
get it. And after a long, exhausting, boring, stiff school day I think they
needed some brain rest, I believe drawing could help. Or perhaps they just wanted the prizes.
I
like seeing them with their minds totally gone blank just like me during
the presentations in front of the lecturers. So they had to present
their ideas and I was amused at their stories. The fourth drawing was done by a little girl who bought herself some candies with the pocket money she saved little by little!
It was just a short, simple and naive story that constructed the picture. I witnessed how their ideas flew and expressed beautifully on empty pages! I learnt a lesson: Everyone's gifted. We're born with the ability to express ourselves in any way, in writing, in painting, in music, in photography and etc. It's the feeling of being free.
