Studio Helper

We played truant last Friday for a 'part-time job'. Although it's only one day, and even though we get paid for this, but still I didn't categorized it as a 'part-time job' because apart from the salary, we actually gained a very nice experience on field we like.

2 of my friends and I went to the KDU Convocation event as a studio helper in One World Hotel early in the morning. PJ in cold misty air just looked calm like still water. We had our McD breakfast under the street light. This was nice.

We helped recording the sequences of the photos. Like 0001-0006 for that particular family and the following started with 0007 for the person/with family who came in next.

3 of us followed different photographers. They were nice and very experienced, some more young! I was given a name tag and been asked to take care one of the DSLR. So I walked around and imagined myself like a pro. Even some of the graduates asked me about the portraits shooting thingy for eg 'when could they take their photos' and etc but actually I don't know!

More less 500 graduates and their family flooded the rooms. They smiled with glory, parents were proud for their children. Even though some of them weren't the outstanding, but they were always the best in their parents' eyes. (to clarify, I can't differentiate who were the most outstanding and who weren't  :P)  Graduates cried and perhaps it was the tear of joy. Even some parents from foreign countries came to witness their children's big day.

Finally I was graduated for one day! First and foremost I wanna express my gratitude towards my parents for educating me till the tertiary level, and............bla bla bla.

Think I will burst into tears on my graduation day.

By the way this actually reminded me of this, the Photography Club in secondary school. Honestly I joined the club to meet the co-curriculum requirement set by the Education Department and I bet my friends used to be the same too. (=P)

Helping my friend the photographer for the photos recording and the situation was messy(reminiscing in a happy way), we used to shout because we forgot the photos sequences! And after taking those new students photos for school usage, we played with the background!
